Royal Polaris Sportfishing Trip Update (121510)

Royal Polaris Crew

THE TAILBEAT GOES ON (121510)!!! At 7 am this morning Roy made the announcement you both hate and love to hear...all fish under 100 would be cut off. Since that didn't slow us down much it was soon raised to 130. Tomorrow we start the RSW hold which in case you don't know is refrigerated salt water rather than totally frozen. It is widely accepted that the fish out of that well taste even better than the hard freeze though both are tasty. We have 3 full days of fishing left so even though there's room for more there's no reason to think it's going to shut down so for the immediate future it's 130 or better to come aboard. Wouldn't want to fill all the freezers and then not have room for that trophy when it comes in. Other than that I must sound like a broken record. It's the same great quality Tuna we've been catching with no real standouts today but fish up to the 175 mark. We also did pretty good on the Wahoo today. It has become a very relaxing low pressure trip. Every one has a lot of fish and and hopefully we'll get a lot more. POEM FOR THE DAY: The tuna's girl is quite fickle If you ask me she's not worth a nickle When she goes on a date Her decision to mate Is based solely on size of the sickle. Well gang, that sums it up pretty well. We released everything under 130 pounds all afternoon today as we need to pace ourselves with three full days left to fish in the trip. As in the previous days, the grade of fish we are seeing is primarily 80 to 150 pounds. The weather continues to be ideal with calm seas and a light breeze throughout the day. We are very excited about the days to come and hoping for more fish over 200 pounds. Wish us luck. A shout out to Jason in Texas from Keith Patterson who says "hi".
