Jess Ranch Lakes Fishing Report

12-5-2010
Jess Ranch Lakes Staff

Great winter fishing conditions continue to keep the trout bite active throughout the day. Anglers enjoyed excellent trout action on both lakes with Power Bait (especially salmon peach, orange, yellow and rainbow), night crawlers (with marshmallows or Power Bait ), jigs and lures ( smoke, orange, green jigs, jakes), to catch limits and big fish. Lots of limits went out with an over 3 trout per angler average. Hot spots included the eastern and western shores of lake 3 as well as the northern and eastern shores of lakes 2.

Attached Pic: Rick Vigil of La Habra scored a 7 lbs 8 ozs rainbow on a white crappie jig from the eastern shore of lake 3 at Jess Ranch Lakes. Both Vigil and his two friends caught their limits as well.

Catches of the week: Rick Vigil of La Habra scored a 7 lbs 8 ozs rainbow on a white crappie jig from the eastern shore of lake 3. Adelanto angler, Reggie Moreno caught his 4 lbs 11 ozs trout on salmon peach Power Bait from the eastern shore of lake 2. Mac Delacruz of Chino Hills reeled in a 3 lbs 8 ozs rainbow using an orange power worm while fishing the western shore of lake 3 near the pump house.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round. This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall. Check out the Jess Ranch Channel on YouTube-- http://www.youtube.com/jessranchlakes
