ALIJOS PAYS OFF (101410)!!! Hello everyone;
Our weather today was just gorgeous, with a slight breeze, slightly overcast, and warm. The seas were flat, and everyone aboard is happy. We arrived to Alijos rocks at 08:30 hours and Roy made up his mind to start fishing for Tuna wright away.
So we pulled up to our spot, dropped the anchor, and in no time the Yellowfin started to bite. It was not a wide open bite, it was nice steady bite. We had good luck on the Sardine on the kite, and fly-lined baits as well. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 50 to 65 pound range, with a few in the 40 pound catogory. To add to our catch today, we landed a handful of Yellowtail and Dorado. We had one Yellowtail that might go over 50+ pounds, but only time will tell. Lucky angler and his personnel best for Yellowtail was Seiji Iwamura. Seiji is 86 years young, and has been fishing with us for many years.
After the sunset, we had a great dinner, then it was time to make a tank of bait. The bait is not biting yet, but we all have high hopes for a short night of bait making. So until tomorrow, wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew.
