New Hogan Reservoir Fishing Report
7-18-2010
Bruce Hamby
Striped Bass fishing continues to heat up at a blistering pace! We're picking up 12 to 18 fish per day. Most in the 5 to 6.8 pound class. However, this week we've have seen more smaller bass in the 2 to 3 pounds, which tells me their getting ready to boil. Anchovies, sardines, haring and shad cured in Pro Cures Brine and Bite remains our bait of choice. The line sides are holding in the main lake between Deer Island and the dam, down about 20 feet. Water temperature is 81 degrees.
