Silver Lake Fishing Report

6-13-2010
Andrew Jones

Silver Lake has been seeing a lot of nice browns, some good cutthroats and some holdover rainbows this past week. The weather played a nice trick on us this week with it being nice and sunny and 80 degrees on Thursday to snowing and sleeting and being 35 degrees on Friday. Continue to look for the bugs to continue to hatch with mosquito and Mayflies looking like a good idea this week. As always Dough Baits like Berkley's Salmon Egg Red and Salmon Peach working well and had several good reports on Thomas Buoyant new T101 or T102 Pink Bubblegum working well from shore and trolling. A couple of very nice 2 lb Cutthroats were caught using the Thomas Buoyant. The water level is continuing to rise with lots of water runoff but the temperature of the water appears to be climbing.
