Silver Lake Fishing Report
5-29-2010
Andrew Jones
Well, it finally appears that summer, or at least spring has arrived in the Eastern High Sierra. Great weather this weekend has brought the people out and some decent fishing along the shores of Silver Lake and Rush Creek. Most people have been having some success using Berkeley Dough Baits, Salmon Peach and Garlic Power Bait to be exact, as well as Thomas Buoyant and Tasmanian Devils trolling from a boat. There appears to be some nice larger, hold over trout from last season, being brought in over the weekend. Rush Creek has also been producing some nice size trout as well as lots of stockers. On Rush, try using Salmon Eggs and worms and start to look for some bugs hatching in the coming weeks if it stays warmer, which should make for some good fly fishing along the creek in the weeks to come. Keep thinking warm weather and good fishing. Hopefully summer is here to stay.
The Silver Lake Resort is a full service resort in June Lake, CA. We offer accommodations for fisherman throughout the trout season. We have cabins for all size groups, an RV park, a Cafe with fabulous food and a general store to meet your needs. If you would like to book a trip to Silver Lake call them at (760) 648-7525.
