With the yellowtail fishing at the Coronado Islands slowing down due to deteriorating conditions, the focus turned to the bite off Todo Santos Island- it has been fantastic. San Diego based sport boats have seen epic fishing for yellowtail in this area. As the season rolls on, there is a huge volume of fish being seen, so we can hope it marches north. La Jolla has had the occasional white sea bass and yellowtail caught mostly by dedicated kayak anglers, and spear fishermen have been shooting a few. San Clemente Island has seen good signs of yellowtail around the island, so that could bust open soon. Catalina has been slow, and it appears the season there may be a late one.
