Puerto Morelos Fish Report
1-21-2010
Larry Edwards
This was a very slow on passengers for the week and even though the
fish numbers on the averages are fine, it just seems like the fishing
and catching was slow with very low numbers. The Puerto Morelos
Fleet reported in for a total of 5 days fished, (2 each 4-hour days
and 3 each 6-hour days) that reflected 4 Atlantic barracuda, 4 king
mackerel, 2 red snapper, 4 grouper, 4 triggerfish and 3 bonito.
PM Climate: Partly cloudy/sunny days with temps at 67 nights and 87
daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Temps were holding at 79-80 degrees and light
surface breezes and almost no swell or chop.
Best Bait: Continues to be the rigged and un-rigged ballyhoo
