Puerto Morelos Fish Report- The Marina El Cid, Cancun To Cozumel Area

Where else but Puerto Morelos, could an angler fish and experience an
8 fish variety for a combined total of 7 days fished? While it was
another week of slow on the anglers, the boats did average about 5
fish per boat day fished that included another off season sailfish.
Overall counts for the 7 fished days reflected 1 dorado, 1 sailfish,
5 Atlantic barracuda, 19 bonito, 2 king mackerel, 3 red snapper, 2
grouper and 1 amberjack.
PM Climate: Mostly cloudy with temps that ranged from 70 nights to
87 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Light tropical surface breezes from the East were
just enough to keep a ripple on the water as the temps remained a
stable 84 degrees.
Best Bait: The ballyhoo remains the bait of choice for this are,
both rigged with colored skirts and natural baits.
