Royal Polaris sees bad winds

5-3-2007
Royal Polaris Crew

Hello everyone, well our weather was just beautiful, until about 13:00 hours. That's when the wind started to pick up. We had 15 to 18 knots of breeze most of the afternoon. About 18:00 hours, the wind back off and it was starting to be a nice night, but as fast as it started to get nice, it turned windy again. Fishing today was about the same, good Wahoo fishing, and very slow Yellowfin tuna fishing. It's not that the fish are not around, we had a school right off our port side, and they just gave us the fin. It was a nice school of 80 to 120 pound Yellowfin. We tried everything, live flyers, dead flyers, rubber flyers, Sardines, Mackerel, chunks, we tried everything. But the tuna didn't want anything we had to give, but it's a sign for us to try this another day. After dinner, it didn't take long for us to get three tanks of flyers for fishing tomorrow. So with that in mind, I will close until tomorrow. Good luck and good fishing, the R/p crew.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.

Hello everyone, well weather continues to be good, with a steady breeze to keep the kites up, and overcast skies. Wahoo fishing continues to be good, and anglers who put the time in are doing very well on the skin. Most of the Wahoo are in the 40 to 50 pound range. As it goes for the Yellowfin, well they played hide and seek today, and they are winning. We only had a handful of Yellowfin today. Our morning started...... Read More
