20,000 pounds of trout to be stocked for Irvine Lake trout opener October 19

Irvine Lake's 2007-08 trout season will kick off at 6:00 AM on Friday October 19. Some 20,000 pounds of trout will be planted to get things started right. Extra water started flowing into the lake starting on October 1, and the lake level is expected to rise 15 feet by mid-November.
