The Pot of Gold closes out its first week with a great Jackpot going to Daryl Singleton of Los Angeles who caught a 10.95 lb Halibut on Thursday. He won $272 and took home a prize bag sponsored by Maxima fishing line, 544 Jigs, and Kencor rods. Great Job Daryl. There was a lot of short halibut caught and released over the last couple of days but there have also been a couple 20+lb. halibut that were lost. The Derby will be resuming on Wednesday at 9am aboard the Icon with legendary captain Shawn Morgon?ĶDon't miss this great tournament. Call for reservations at (562) 432-8993.

The Pot of Gold Halibut Derby is dealing with a wet week. Currently the Derby will be running on Monday to make of for a lost day due to weather. If another day is lost the Derby will also run Tuesday. The Derby runs out of Long Beach Sportfishing aboard the Icon at 9am Wednesday thru Sunday.
