Fish Report for 10-11-2024
Fishing was excellent last week
10-11-2024
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
Water levels fell to 56 percent of the lake’s storage capacity, and fishing was excellent last week. Several anglers reported wide open action throughout the lake. The topwater bite has been good for largemouth, spotted bass, and white bass. Poppers, Whopper Ploppers, and Lucky Craft Sammy’s in shad patterns all worked for bites. Crankbaits, football jigs, darter head grubs, and Keitechs took bass in the 10-to-25-foot zone. Shad patterns and dark green were the colors of choice. Crappie anglers did well with small live minnows in 10 to 20 feet of water, and catfish took cut baits and dip bait for shore anglers.
