An eleventh hour closer was the perfect ending to a fine day of offshore and anchor fishing that once again provided plenty of time at the rail to practice the art of flyline sardine fishing. While  morning conditions were lovely and perfect for fishing results were again paltry not from a lack of fish. Following a few therapeutic mid day variety drifts we ventured out to close the voyage offshore in search of a high note to close out our fishing time. With no time time to spare one last school of 30 - 40 pound bluefin finally dropped their guard and got the with program. Steady catching amidst a great surface show was the perfect ending we were looking for. In high spirits grateful and appreciative for the successful grand finale all enjoyed a beautiful ride east sharing good times and tales. Our most sincere thanks to chartermaster Ed Hansen and this fantastic group of friends we are blessed to host. Final voyage images feature Royal Star veterans Amanda Palowski getting photo bombed with her dandy 50 pound class bluefin and Jerome Ranft with his prized 30 pound class mid morning yellowtail.
