Bayside Marine

The Salmon bite was slow for most anglers who worked the Monterey area. There was one boat who fished the Soquel Hole around 10:00am and caught a 37 pound and a 22 pound Salmon. The fish were caught at 36'49/121'56 on the east edge of the Soquel Hole. The big Salmon were caught on Purple Haze and Green Kajikis trolling 140 feet down. There were a few other Salmon caught near Moss Landing at 36'46/121'54 and 36'43/121'54. The reports were scarce due to the fact that the wind was blowing hard in the morning and most anglers stayed home. The wind settled down in the afternoon as the storm cleared. There is a swell rolling but the wind is expected to slow down Monday. The Striped Bass have been running near New Brighton Beach. The white Fish Traps and white Hair Razors have been working best for beach anglers.??????????
