Fish Report for 7-5-2024
Lake Kaweah dropped rapidly to 62 percent of its storage capacity and fishing has been decent
7-5-2024
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
Lake Kaweah dropped rapidly to 62 percent of its storage capacity and fishing has been decent. With fluctuating water levels many of the bass have been suspended. Weightless Senkos and other slow sink baits have been effective for enticing bites. Finesse baits took spotted bass near rocky structure, and poppers worked for bites during the coolest parts of the day. Crappie anglers kept up their assault on the tasty panfish with small live minnows and swimbaits taking fish. Catfish anglers Carolina rigged cut anchovies and dip bait for decent results.
