Fish Report for 6-21-2024
The lake dropped slightly to 80 percent of its storage capacity
6-21-2024
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The lake dropped slightly to 80 percent of its storage capacity. Bass anglers reported great fishing with good numbers of smaller spotted bass taking drop shot, shaky heads, and spider jigs in 5 to 20 feet of water. The hot topwater bite has slowed a bit, but walking baits still accounted for plenty of fish. White bass fell for topwater baits, small live minnows, and spoons. The crappie bite has been hot with anglers doing well on a variety of baits. Minijigs, small swimbaits, and live minnows all took fish in 5 to 25 feet of water. Catfish anglers did very well with dip baits, cut mackerel, and garlic scented nightcrawlers.
