Buena Vista Lakes Report

Buena Vista Lakes is open for fishing as of June 3rd. However, the jet ski ramp is the only ramp available for launching. Local angler, Dylan Newell reported a 20 plus fish day while bass fishing. Texas rigged six inch worms, small swimbaits, and white spinnerbaits did the trick. Bass also took weightless Senkos and crankbaits. Most of the biting fish held near the cattails and reeds around the islands. Crappie ate small live minnows and minijigs in those same areas. Other species have been on the slow side.
