What's going on everyone! The bass bite has been solid recently here at the lakes. This week's spotlight is on Tony for the beautiful bass he caught the other day. Crankbaits, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, and drop shots have been seeing a lot of success. We have also had an uptick in Alabama rigs being used. If you're going to use an Alabama rig, please keep it to three hooks maximum as it is state law.

Coming up soon is the CATFISH OPENER on April 20th & 21st and we will be stocking 2,500 lbs of catfish. There will be tagged fish for $25 gift cards to Santee Sportsman Warehouse. If you haven't stocked up on any bait for the catfish season, a solid bait to have on hand would be stinkbait, garlic/regular nightcrawlers, mackerel, and shrimp. I hope you're ready because it's going to be a blast! Also, you can get your fish permit and parking pass early at the General Store or Gatehouse beginning April 12th.
