Trout anglers picked away at the remaining rainbows

12-29-2023
Chad Burton and Chris Borden

Trout anglers picked away at the remaining rainbows with dough baits, minijigs, Mouse Tails, Hook Up Baits, and various spinners and spoons. Trolling from kayaks has been an effective way to land bigger fish. Trollers used Flicker Shad, Thomas Bouyants, and spinners for bites. Bass anglers landed largemouth throwing deep diving crankbaits, drop shot Roboworms, and Senkos in green pumpkin and black and blue. Catfish anglers used dip baits, fresh shrimp, and chicken liver for decent numbers of smaller fish, and crappie fell for small live minnows under a bobber.
