Lucky seven was the skin haul that didn’t elicit an awards banquet but certainly fulfilled the quantity goal. Freighting abundance in plenty of categories big production was not in mind. And while a few more handfuls of this exceptional grade of wahoo would have been nice we choose to view the cup as half full. Seven is better than six, or five, or four, or none. Winning…

Weather on the bow and to the west we chose an afternoon route favoring the “inside”. And late in the day, come dinner time, boy was it a popular call. Headed north we’ll be on the hunt tomorrow for trophy grade yellowtail and coastal variety. Photo today features Royal Star veteran JR Dekleinhans and his dandy wahoo landed a couple of days prior.
