It’s Fall wadin time up here on the Rio.
This time of year, your dry fly options are going to be mostly BWOs, maybe a midge or two.
Rio Grande streamer fishing is always a good September/October plan dudes.
Hoppers/Attractors: Morrish Hopper 8-12, More or Less Hopper 8-10, Chubbies 10-16.
Patterns/Bug
Dries: 16-22 Parachute Adams and Guide Chute Hares Ear 16, BWO Film Critic 18-20, Baetis CDC Emerger 18-20.
Nymphs: Prince nymphs 10-16, Runt Stone Golden 12-16, Pat’s Rubberlegs 8-12, 20 Incher 10-14, Flashback Pheasant Tail 14-20.
Streamers: Buggers, Sculpzilla, Peanut Envy, Mouseketeer, Cheech Leech, Dungeons, Circus Peanut.

for Tuesday, October 10th, 2023San Juan River : Flows have just been dropped to about 600 cfs
Arkansas River: These cooler days have finally caused water temps to drop and fish are starting to feed pretty good
San Juan River: Dry/Droppers might not be a bad idea still
Piedra River: Can be a great time to fish a Euro setup
Los Pinos River: Below the dam, fishing will be pretty good
Dolores River- Below McPhee: Wadeable flows at about 50 cfs out of the dam
Dolores River- Above McPhee: The Upper Dolores is fishing decent but cold days are ahead
Florida River: Below the dam, the flows have been dropped and fish will be spooky
San Miguel River: Flows are a good wadable level, get after it!
Gunnison River- Black Canyon: Flowing clear and lower
Uncompahgre River: Flows are dropping, so it’s time to keep it sneaky and go smaller on the flies

Arkansas River: Animas river bumped a little with rain
San Juan River: It’s a Dry/Dropperman’s world on the Upper Juan
Piedra River: Flows are low and attractor dry/droppers are a good go-to
Los Pinos River: Below the dam, fishing will be pretty good
