Topock Marsh Report

9-1-2023
Arizona Game & Fish Department

At Topock Marsh, the North Dike boat ramp was dredged this spring, increasing
boating access. Game and Fish biologists surveyed the Marsh in February of 2022. They found that all present species with the exception of striped bass were in good condition. Largemouth bass, channel catfish, and black crappie appeared to cover a wide range of sizes, and numbers appeared to be stable. Bluegill, redear, and green sunfish were all present in Topock Marsh, but typically make up only 1% of the catch annually. You can access the Marsh by boat at North Dike, Catfish Paradise, and Five-Mile Landing. All three also provide plenty of area for shoreline fishing, too. For more information on the Marsh, contact the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge at (760) 326-3853 or go to https://www.fws.gov/refuge/havasu.
