The Calico Bass fishing on the half day trips has been excellent! Bring your swim baits, jerk baits, surface irons or what ever your favorite lure is to catch them! The bite is hot!

Tackle Recommendations from the Boats for Bluefin trips.

For day time fishing, they are recommending

50lb flyline with a #1 mutu or a 1/0 mutu circle hook

30lb flyline with #2 Owner Mutu Hook. For the guys that want to fish a jig, try a 100 or 130 Colt Sniper or Zakana jigs. We would recommend fishing the jigs on a 50 to 60lb outfit.

For night time fishing, we are still recommending 80 to 100lb outfits and 300 to 400 grams jigs with 130 to 200lb leaders.

The Liberty had 12 bluefin and 1 yellowfin for 39 anglerson a full day trip.

The Dolphin AM trip had 85 calico bass (100 released), 4 sheephead, and 36 rockfish for 45 anglers.

The Dolphin PM trip had 49 calico bass (100 released), 20 rockfish, 2 sculpin, and 4 sheephead for 52 anglers.

The Pegasus called in with limits of bluefin for a 1.5 day trip with a private charter.

The Pacific Dawn called in with 45 mixed tuna for their 1.5 day trip for 18 anglers. 

The Condor returned this morning with 27 Bluefin Tuna and 1 Yellowtail for 33 anglers on a 1.5 day trip. 

The Tomahawk retunred this morning with 34 Bluefin Tuna (13@ 80 to 160 lbs.) for 24 anglers on a 2.5 day trip. 

The Fortune returned this morning with 48 Bluefin Tuna (35 @ 140 - 275 lbs.) 63 Yellowtail (up to 40 lbs.) and 3 Yellowfin Tuna for 16 anglers on a 3 day charter. 

The Islander returned this morning with 61 Bluefin Tuna, 21 Yellowtail and 15 Yellowfin Tuna for 23 anglers on  their 3.5 day charter. 

The Pacific Queen returned this morning with 94 Bluefin Tuna (23 @ 120 to 230 lbs.) and 66 Yellowtail on a 3.5 day charter.

The Dolphin PM trip caught 61 Calico Bass, 100 Calico Bass (Relessed), 18 Rockfish amd 2 Sheephead for 24 anglers.

Lucky B Sportfishing caught 6 Dorado and 1 Yellowtail on their Full Day trip for 3 anglers.

The Pacific Dawn caught 1 Yellowfin Tuna, and 1 Yellowtail for 18 anglers on an overnight charter. 

The Dolphin AM caught 175 keeper Calico Bass, 100+ released Calico Bass, 1 Halibut, 15 Rockfish for 53 angler. 

The Pegasus returned this morning with 40 mixed Tuna for their 1.5 day charter.
