Tackle Recommendations from the Boats for Bluefin trips.

For day time fishing, they are recommending

50lb flyline with a #1 mutu or a 1/0 mutu circle hook

30lb flyline with #2 Owner Mutu Hook. For the guys that want to fish a jig, try a 100 or 130 Colt Sniper or Zakana jigs. We would recommend fishing the jigs on a 50 to 60lb outfit.

For night time fishing, we are still recommending 80 to 100lb outfits and 300 to 400 grams jigs with 130 to 200lb leaders.

The Tomahawk Called in with with 52 Bluefin Tuna (18 at 60 to 150#,  1 at 190# and 1 at 255#) for 2 day trip with 25 anglers.

The Liberty called in with 11 Bluefin Tuna and 8 Yellowfin Tuna for 39 anglers on their full day trip.

The Dolphin 1/2 AM caught 215 Rockfish for 23 anglers.

The Islander called in with LIMITS (54) of Bluefin Tuna and 3 Yellowtail for 27 anglers on their 1.5 day trip.

The Pacific Queen called in with limits (100) of bluefin for 2 days of a 3 day trip for 25 anglers.

The Fortune just called in with LIMITS (72) of Bluefin tuna for both days of their 2 day trip for their 18 anglers. 

The Condor just called in with 59 Bluefin Tuna (up to 185 lbs) so far on their 2 day trip with 17 anglers. 

The Pegasus returned this morning with LIMITS (60) of Bluefin Tuna for 15 anglers on a 2.5 day charter. 10 of these fish were in the 20-30 lbs. range and the rest were in the 50-150 lbs. range. 

The Pacific Dawn returned this morning with 30 Bluefin Tuna (60 to 180 lbs.) for their 2.5 day charter.

The Liberty caught 5 Bluefin Tuna and 1 Yellowfin Tuna on their Full Day trip for 41 anglers.

The Dolphin AM trip had 125 rockfish for 14 anglers.

The Pacific Queen returned this morning wtih 39 Bluefin Tuna and 5 Yellowfin Tuna for 35 anglers on their 1.5 day trip.
