Fun week on the water with a light group of anglers on our last 7 day Avet sponsored trip. Sarkis bought hats and goodies for everyone including 6 new Avet Reels. Weather was the biggest factor for us this year but the fishing made up for it. Wide open yellowtail fishing on the ridge and the beach which is usually is the norm on these early 7 to 8 day trips. The trouble every year once we get our yellowtail done with it is hard to find another species to target and the last few years Bluefin Tuna has been the only option. This entails a lot of travel time but in the end it was worth it for the group. Good night time opportunities on mixed grade fish and wide open daytime fishing on medium to large grade tuna. Overall great fishing, great food, and subpar but manageable weather. We will see what next year holds for us.
