Goldwater Lake Report
6-11-2023
Arizona Game & Fish Department
Goldwater Lake (lower) - This portion of the lake is now open to the public for catch-and-release fishing with artificial flies and lures only. There are no watercraft permitted in this water, including kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. During the spring this lake was stocked with brown trout, albino rainbow trout, and Gila trout. Largemouth bass fishing is beginning to pick up as the fish are moving off the nests and becoming more active.
Goldwater Lake (upper) - Trout were stocked this week. Most anglers are having the most success with PowerBait. The bite may be a little better early in the morning and in the evening. Some days the fishing seems to be better than others. Catfish were stocked May 31 and will continue to be stocked for the next few months.
