Rusty
This week, we had striper action in our local area. Angler Mitchell Jones had success fishing from shore in the Rotary Park area, landing an 11.24-pound striper measuring 32 inches. He used a Savage Gear swim bait for the catch. Our local high school now has an active fishing club led by instructor Gary Regan. He has been taking out various groups to different locations for fishing. This week, the group consisted of Delylaa Cuilty, the King family (Aj, Jp, and Moma King), Zamayah Williams, and Jonathen Longtine. It was a great experience for these kids, and they all caught fish. The fishing club welcomes kids of all ages who want to gain fishing experience in our local waters. They were using anchovies while fishing from shore in the Rotary Park area.
I also received reports of stripers along the shores of Community Park, which is not only a great spot for fishing but also for hanging out. We are fortunate to have such excellent opportunities along the shores of the Colorado River. Up at Lake Mohave, the fishing has been a bit slow, but there have been reports of catfish and a couple of stripers being caught near the dam in various coves. The Topock Marsh has not yet started, but I expect the largemouth bass and panfish to start biting in that area soon.
I hope this information helps, and we look forward to seeing you soon to hear about your catch and your story. Thank you so much for your support. Now, go catch a fish!
