The fishing is going very well along the shores of the Colorado River. Local and visiting anglers are having great success in landing various fish. Whether targeting local striped bass or daring to go after rainbow trout, there is a high chance of catching a few. Our local anglers Evan and Russal Mink, along with Eathan Merritt, had a successful fishing trip, landing a nice bunch of stripers. They were fishing from Grandpa Mike Merritt's boat in the Big Bend area using anchovies. Gary Williams and Dean Weitz, on the other hand, were fishing from shore in the Rotary Park area, specifically targeting trout. They had luck using a couple of spinners to catch these rainbows. Additionally, it has been reported that Community Park is producing stripers, with mornings and evenings being particularly fruitful. It's a fantastic season to be out fishing and enjoying the outdoors. However, the Topock Marsh area has been slower, but it is expected to pick up soon as the largemouth bass have finished nesting and are now foraging for food. We hope this information is helpful, and we look forward to welcoming you soon to share your catch and your story. Thank you for all of your support! Now, go catch a fish!
