The Crooked river is back in fishable condition!

The Crooked river is back in fishable condition! After weeks of blow out flows the Crooked river is back around 190 CFS and is fishing well already. There are lots of caddis hatching so having a nice selection of sizes and colors in nymphs as well as dries is a good idea. During non hatch times nymphing with jigged leeches, eggs, two-bits, zebra midges, scuds, and caddis nymphs will be effective. The river is still a little bit more off color than normal so using some brighter patterns is a good idea. Swinging around leeches, sculpins, and small buggers is also a fun way to approach the Crooked this time of year.
