Half Day Yellowtail & Bluefin Picking Up

6/1 3:30 PM: The Polaris Supreme just reported in from their 2 Day trip with 20 Bluefin tuna. Most are in the 20-80 pound range but they do have 7 weighing between 100-150 pounds. Captain Aliyar mentioned that 250-350g jigs and 40# flyline were working best and that there are very good signs but the fish are being hard to work with.
The San Diego finished up their Full Day trip today with 37 Bluefin weighing between 20 to 40 pounds and 11 Yellowtail for their 21 anglers. Captain Matt reported that they were seeing bigger fish out there as well but they were a bit more finicky. The prepared angler would have a 30-40# flyline rig and an 80-100# rig as well.
The New Seaforth ended their PM Half Day today with 50 legal Calico Bass and over 100 released and 1 Yellowtail weighing in around 25 pounds for their 19 anglers! Captain Brian said they went one for three on the Yellowtail but they are willing to bite when they get the chance.
The Pacifica returned this morning from a 1.5 Day with 22 Bluefin ranging from 40 to 80 pounds for their group of 29 anglers. The Pacifica has an early-departure Overnight leaving this Friday and the Bluefin are within range. Be sure to check out the calendar!
The Polaris Supreme wrapped up their 2 Day trip with 54 Bluefin weighing up to 90 pounds. Captain Aliyar stated that 300g knife jigs and 40# flyline was the hot ticket for getting a bite.

5-31-2023Returning Trips 12:15 PM: The San Diego just called in with 15+ Bluefin for their Full Day trip. Their fish are in the 20-40 pound range and Captain Matt said they were seeing bigger models out there as well.
