A long day of searching for the right zone added a few smaller bluefin to our tally and a few incidental yellowtail. While we did see scattered sign spread over a wide area I can't say that days end arrived with a confident notion of where the night action would begin. Deficit a hard starting point we picked the best option then spread out from there. Right from the get go however things had a very different feel. And not a good one. Puny spots of smaller bluefin enjoyed our futile pursuits shunning our offerings when we did manage to get on top of one. In the end my early sense that we were off of them fleshed out. Damn. Not the closing note we sought the prior two nights set us right. Freighting plenty of quantity, and quality we set course for home slightly chapped by the lack of anything tonight but well satisfied with the results overall. Many thanks and much appreciation to Charter Master Steve Tsujiuchi for assembling this fantastic group of seasoned anglers.
Final voyage image features Royal Star veteran Stanley Koh and his 60 pound class daytime bluefin landed mid morning.
