This is Kevin. Kevin should probably buy a lottery ticket. On the opening day of fishing season in 2022, he was in his favorite fishing spot on Clear Lake in Spokane County when he caught his first fish of the day around 6:15 a.m., which happened to be a tagged Trout Derby fish. That's cool by itself, but fast forward to opening day this year, on Saturday, and Kevin was once again in his favorite spot on Clear Lake and once again pulled in his first fish right around 6:15 a.m. And guess what? It was also a tagged derby fish!
While we can't promise you will be as lucky as Kevin, here is info on WDFW's Trout Derby in case you want to give it a try: https://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/contests/trout-derby
