Utah Division of Wildlife

The fishing is good to great. The ice is over 40 inches thick. Several anglers report needing an auger shaft extension or having to dig down through the top layer of snow/crust to punch through the ice. Anglers are reporting high cutthroat trout catch rates fishing both shallow (10 to 20 feet of water) and deeper water (50 to 70 feet of water). White colored tubes/jigs seem to be working well when tipped with mealworms, waxworms or shrimp.
