Fish Report for 4-7-2023
The lake rose to 90 percent of capacity
4-7-2023
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The lake rose to 90 percent of capacity which is about as full as they normally keep the lake. We’ve reached full pool, and fishing should be great after the water clears and warms. In the meantime, bass anglers reported fair fishing on finesse baits and reaction baits. Some anglers reported an improved bite with a few bass moving into shallow water. Striper have been the best bet lately with some anglers scoring limits of smaller striper. Cut baits and umbrella rigs both worked for bites. Catfish anglers reported decent fishing in the coves east of the marina on dip bait and chicken liver. Trout anglers reported the occasional rainbow near the marina on dough baits.
