Recent storms brought in additional mud which made for poor water clarity

Pyramid Lake held at 85 percent of capacity, and fishing has been fair. Recent storms brought in additional mud which made for poor water clarity. Many anglers still reported Pyramid as one of the best local options for striper, bass, trout, and catfish. Striped bass ate cut baits and lugworms near the Marina, Yellowbar, and Chumash Island. Large and smallmouth went for finesse baits in deeper water on main lake points. There were also reports of Largemouth taking lipless crankbaits yoyo ’ed off the bottom. Trout anglers did well with Powerbait, minijigs, and Kastmasters, and catfish ate fresh shrimp, chicken liver, and cut sardines.
