Anglers reported fair fishing in the aqueduct last week

Anglers reported fair fishing in the aqueduct last week with many anglers remaining in the warmth of their home. Striper ate cut sardines, fresh shrimp, and jumbo live minnows. Catfish ate many of those same baits plus chicken liver and dip bait soaked Carolina style with a heavy weight. Bass anglers reported using finesse baits in slower moving water.

Lake Isabella: This week Isabella increased to 22 percent capacity and continues to rise
Kern River: The Upper Kern trout fishing remains one of the best bet
Lake Kaweah: The water level fell to 15 percent of capacity, and bass anglers reported an improved bite
Lake Success: Lake Success fell to 26 percent of capacity, and fishing remains fair due to poor water conditions
River Walk Lakes: The holdover trout from the Firefighter fishing derby were biting this week
