Wohlford Lake Staff
It has been a solid week for trout fishing. Big trout of the week belonged to Richard Dexter of San Diego who caught both a 7.50# trout and his 6.90# companion rainbow. Mr. Dexter caught his fish using custom minnows at the east end. Powerbait (greens & yellows), inflated nightcrawlers, and chartreuse mini-jigs have been the top baits. Trout are being caught in Willow Cove and on the eastern end of the southern shore.
Crappie prefer the cover of shade and bite best in the early mornings and late afternoons.
Catfish can be found throughout the lake and prefer cut mackerel or chicken liver.
