Castaic is still recovering from recent storms
2-3-2023
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
Castaic is still recovering from recent storms, and launching a boat often requires a trolling motor to get through the floating muck. County employees have been busy removing debris from the launch ramp, and if the wind is right boaters can safely launch. Most anglers are still heading to Pyramid Lake or the Lagoon. Shore anglers are dealing with the same debris, and they have been hiking to find clean water. Striper took cut sardines and lugworms on the long soak, and catfish ate cut baits, chicken liver, and dip bait. Bass went for finesse baits with dark purple being a popular color. A trout plant was slated for Castaic this week by DFWL.
