The lake rose slightly to 36 percent of capacity, and water temperatures fell into the upper fifties. Bass anglers reported fair fishing while using finesse baits, small swimbaits, jigs, and A-rigs. Many of the fish have been holding deep on points and along bluff walls. Sonars, Hopkins spoons, and ice jigs have been effective on the deeper bass. Striper anglers reported the bite as hit or miss. On some days the line-sides can be found working shad schools in the fish are, but most of the time they are down deeper. When they are up top, spoons and topwater walking baits can fill the boat. Deeper fish took cut baits in 25 to 90 feet of water. Striper also fell for trolled Kastmasters, small swimbaits, and flies. A few bigger models were reported on magnum topwater lures and glide baits. Trout anglers happily picked away at good sized rainbows with dough baits, minijigs, and pinched crawlers. Catfish anglers used dip bait, nightcrawlers, and cut baits in coves east of the marina.
