Adult salmon daily limit increased on the Klickitat River

Action: Increases the adult salmon daily limit to three fish.
Locations and effective dates:
- from the mouth to Fisher Hill Bridge – Nov. 17 through Jan. 31, 2023
- from 400 feet above #5 Fishway to boundary markers below Klickitat Salmon hatchery – Nov. 17 through Nov. 30, 2022
Species affected: Salmon.
Rule: The salmon daily limit is 6 fish; min. size 12", up to 3 adults may be retained.
Reason for action: The current return of Coho salmon to the Klickitat River has exceeded preseason expectations and additional fish are available for harvest.
Additional information: Anglers are reminded that the 'Closed Waters' area between Fisher Hill Bridge and 400 feet above #5 Fishway remains in effect. All other permanent rules published in the 2022-23 Washington Sport Fishing Rules pamphlet remain in effect.
