Bass are definitely on shad right now, look for them pushing balls into the creeks and towards the banks. We have some storms coming in the next week and a half, so look to fish tributaries up in the coves. The lake has not flipped as of yet, but it should happen soon, and when it does the trout will be all over them. Best setups right now would be the shad Float n' Fly fished as deep as you dare. If you find fish in shallow water you can toss a streamer pattern like the Pyramid Minnow in white or the Masked Minnow on a full sinking line to get it down fast. Good times are ahead on Shasta!
