Too many marlin and a few dorado infused desperately needed action into a long day. Thankfully conditions were ideal - flat calm, beautiful. But our long hours at the rail were not rewarded with the bite, or few, that we were angling for. Amidst an impressive late afternoon show featuring bona fide giants blowing out in breathtaking explosions within easy reach of our lines we fished, and fished awaiting that adrenaline pumping moment.
Maybe tomorrow. One more shot is worth the time investment considering the potential reward. Man there's some giants down here. Huge. Enjoy another grab from the archive today a tribute to long time Ventura County Angler and friend Art Hernandez who could not join the fun this year. Greetings from all your friends out here Art!
