Santee Lakes Fishing Report

Santee Lakes Staff

How's it going everyone! The spotlight this week is on Roman who was all smiles after catching this largemouth bass out of Lake 2 with his dad. The bass bite has picked back up a little recently with the weather having cooled down a touch. Crankbaits, spinnerbaits, worms, and soft plastics have still been working pretty well. Top water baits have been finding some success in the evening hours as well.

The catfish bite has stayed relatively consistent. They have been biting well on stinkbait, mackerel, nightcrawlers, and shrimp. Our last catfish stock was September 9th in Lake 4 and Lake 7. On October 1st and 2nd Stockzilla will be taking place! Lakes 2,3,4,5,6, and 7 will be stocked with 3,500 pounds of catish. We are now pre-selling fishing permits and parking passes for this event as well. We hope to see you out here so you too can be all smiles after catching a fish just like Roman!
