Hi Gang,

With Hurricane Kay moving up the coast a few days ago and having both the fishing south and the fishing San Clemente Island option off of the table for a couple of days, we opted to make a move north and try for albacore. Our weather window was perfect and I was able to gather enough info for us to get up to Fort Bragg and try our luck. We ended our day with 36 albacore that were mostly 18 to 25 pounds, and a big eye that taped out at 125 pounds. We made the move with the possibility of having a big day on albacore that unfortunately did not happen. We did however, have an experience that none of us will ever forget and everyone is stoked that we gave it a try. So, with a hurricane in our way, we went north about the same distance as it would be going south and fishing the Ridge. I told myself that we need a 150 fish albacore day or better for us to stay and fish the Fort Bragg area another day so we took off yesterday at dark. We are currently traveling south and will have ourselves in position to fish two nights and two days on the back end of our trip. Our weather is nice and we are excited about what the last part of our trip has in store for us. Thanks for checking in. Life is good, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4088 to get in on the action.
