Donner Lake has good water levels right now
9-6-2022
Mountain Hardware & Sports
Donner Lake has good water levels right now, around 90 percent of capacity. Anglers going out on the water can find Kokanee in the middle of the lake around 90 feet deep. The kokanee are schooled up this time of year on the east end of the lake. Anglers fishing kokanee should try using a Mack’s sling blade in ultra violet with a pink wedding ring tipped with shoepeg corn. Shore anglers can also find some quality trout at Donner Lake using powerbait and salmon eggs on Carolina rigs. There is a decent shore bite off of China Cove and the boat ramp.
