Marine Board Meeting in Gold Beach July 28

Oregon State Marine Board

The Oregon State Marine Board will be holding its quarterly meeting in Gold Beach on July 28, beginning at 8:30 am. The meeting will be held at the Curry County Public Library, Second Floor Conference Room, 94341 3rd Street, in Gold Beach.

The Board will consider and discuss the following informational agenda items:

  • Director’s report
  • Presentation of the agency’s mission, vision, and values
  • Review of boating safety data and law enforcement statistics
  • Overview of the agency rulemaking process and policy development

The Board will be voting on the following items:

  • Proposed 2023-2025 agency budget
  • A public petition to lower boat noise limits
  • A cost increase for Amacher Park in Douglas County

Written public comments will be accepted until 5:00 pm on July 20, 2022, and can be emailed to jennifer.cooper@boat.oregon.gov or by U.S. Mail to Oregon State Marine Board, Attn: Jennifer Cooper, 435 Commercial St NE Ste 400 Salem, OR 97301. Verbal comments will be accepted during the public comment portion at the beginning of the virtual meeting. If you would like to provide testimony during the meeting, register with Jennifer Cooper no later than July 20 by 5 pm.
