Battlefield conditions greeted anglers today in a one hundred eighty degree turnaround from the easy comfort of travel down. What a contrast. Current opposing the wind and seas stacked up sets and positioned our anchored platform near broadside to absorb the brunt. Needless to say acclimation took a few. But we all found our sea legs and got down to business when the fine grade yellowtail showed up eager to bite. 
A steady, near all day pick with occasional flurries set us in good shape when the day closed. And, when the fierce morning uphill current eased its grip, anglers enjoyed the battles with both hands on their rods. 
Today's image features "The Legend" Jerry Kruse who, at a youthful 90 years young, came out of fishing retirement to all of our delight. I have written about Jerry in years past complimenting his incredible durability and old school values. What a man. Jerry landed this beautiful grade yellowtail when the afternoon calm opened the door. Ahhh...
