Thursday Updates

  • The Polaris Supreme has limits of Bluefin Tuna for their 1.5 Day trip. The majority of the fish are in the 70 to 90 pound range, with fish up to 150 pounds.

Returning Trips

  • The Pacifica returned with 39 Bluefin Tuna for their 27 anglers on their 1.5 Day trip. They had fish up to 185 pounds.
  • The Tribute 1.5 Day trip put 32 Bluefin Tuna on the boat for their 20 anglers. Their big fish weighed in at 256 pounds!
  • The Pacific Voyager's 12 anglers had 28 Bluefin Tuna and 29 Yellowtail for their 2.5 Day Trip. Most of the Bluefin were over 100 pounds.

A lot of the fleet is still running into the large grade Bluefin and having good opportunities on biting fish. We are recommending having a minimum of 80# line and also 4 to 8 ounce torpedo sinkers, heavy fluorocarbon leaders and some heavy wire 1/0-2/0 hooks to fish the sinker rig.
