Howdy y'all, it's Trejan on the Sunrise. Today we left the harbor at 6:30 and headed straight west. It only took 5 minutes before we were able to lay our crab pots. After doing so, we headed north for about another 5 minutes. On our first drift, we ended up catching 5 fish. We then caught 4 on the second and 5 again on the third. We continued to catch 3-7 rockfish a drift until we caught 17 on our 9th drift. We then proceeded to get 14 on our next drift as well. We continued to get 9-14 rockfish for the next few drifts until we eventually limited out. We limited out in a little under an hour and a half. We then went Lingcod fishing until it was time to go retrieve our crab pots. Crabbing went smoothly and after we were done, we headed back in. Overall, it was a fun trip that kept me on my toes with how much fish we were catching. It was an amazing day for fishing and an even better day to be on the Sunrise.
